21,782 children in Ireland are overdue an assessment of need. Why we built Seneca

Seneca drafts,
you author.

Seneca turns your interviews, reports and assessment data into a first draft of your assessment report.

The Seneca report screen. Under Pre-Session Inputs are a GP referral letter, a parent questionnaire and a prior assessment report; a school report is dragged into the drop tray below them, uploads, and joins the list as a fourth record. Under Sessions, a parent interview and a child observation are both marked Complete. The animation then waits: pressing the Generate Draft Report button below drafts the report, sections scrolling past as text fills in, coming to rest on all twelve sections of the report, each one ticked as written.

What it does

Assessment Builder, step by step

01Everything you gathered, in one place

Referral letters, school reports, interview transcripts and test scores all sit on the case. Seneca drafts from all of it.

02Enter each score once

ADOS-2, ADI-R, CELF-5, WISC-V and more go into fields, not prose. Change a score, redraft, and every section that uses it updates.

03Children and adults

Each has its own report structure. The adult report is written for adults, not adapted from a child's.

04Written to your standard

Choose DSM-5-TR, ICD-11 or case formulation, and a medical or neuroaffirmative register. Every draft follows it.

05A full first draft, not a blank page

Every section, formulation and recommendations included, written from your data. The time you get back is report-writing time; your sessions stay exactly as they are.

06Spot what is easy to miss

Beside each section, AI clinician notes point out what deserves a second look: a date of birth that differs between the GP letter and the parent questionnaire, a missing record that would change the section, or a point the draft inferred rather than found in your data. When there is nothing worth your time, they stay quiet.

07See where each claim came from

Hover over a claim in the draft to see the record it came from.

08Edit, sign off, export

Edit in the app and sign off each section. A late report or a corrected score? Redraft as often as you need. Export as PDF or Word.

FAQs

Questions clinicians ask about this

Can Seneca be used with teams?

Yes, Seneca was built to also be used by multi-disciplinary teams.

What if the draft is wrong about something?

Seneca provides a provenance popup card, allowing you to hover over any claim made and see where it derived that information. This lets you check every claim against its source.

However, we want to emphasise that Seneca only creates a first draft for you, which still requires your clinical judgement, editing, and sign-off.

If it is wrong in a way that would recur, tell us—we are always working on improving Seneca!

What does case formulation produce?

A personalised formulation of this person's profile, strengths, support needs and context, with no DSM or ICD criterion scaffolding.
